The Vanderfield Walk
2007 Darling Downs Rural Ambassador Lara Wilde has taken on a challenge in 2008. Her challenge is to make everyone in rural communities on the Darling Downs feel welcome. The first step to achieving this goal will be a series of show tours at each of the local shows in the region.

The show tours will be available for individuals and families and will be hosted by competing Miss Showgirls and Rural Ambassadors who would love to show guests their show and what they love about their rural community.

Each tour will be unique depending on the hosts interests and experience. Hosts will gain valuable skills such as leadership, public speaking and effective communication, while guests on the tours will have a chance to experience more of the local show and the local culture than just show rides and show bags. Rural shows have a reputation for showcasing a communities local culture and these show tours will provide a young perspective about everything that is wonderful in the hosts community.

For more information contact Lara Wilde on 0417 779 917 or by emailing Lara at lara.wilde@bigpond.com.
