The Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland
Established in 1860
The Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland
(Toowoomba) is a not for profit organisation and has operated in the
Darling Downs region for over 146 years. It was first established by a
group of forward thinking gentlemen with a vision to promote
agricultural excellence in the region. In 1985, the Society moved the
showground, which was located in the centre of town to this magnificent
position at Glenvale; offering more space, versatility and quality of
venue.
This outstanding
facility built on 245 acres of scenic country land generates major
economic growth and activity to Toowoomba and the region through the
large number of events and functions, which utilise the venue.
The Royal
Agricultural Society of Queensland organises the annual Toowoomba Royal
Show, which draws over 14,500 exhibitors from all states across
Australia to compete in our competitive sections. The event has grown

Volunteers
Volunteers
at the Showgrounds are one of our greatest assets. Without the
dedication of these hard-working people, the Royal Agricultural Society
of Queensland and events the Toowoomba community enjoy such as:
·
The Heritage Toowoomba Royal Show
·
Ag Show, and
·
Wine Show,
would
not operate.
Want to
help out the local community?
We'd
really love to meet you and have you join the team at the Showgrounds.
As a
volunteer you can be on the outdoors crew (The Land Army) or the inside
group, its up to you.
Just
give us a ring (07) 4634 7400 or send an
email and we'll only be too pleased
to welcome you onboard.
You
will have the opportunity to meet new friends and work together in an
enjoyable environment, whilst assisting the community.
