2009 Heritage Toowoomba Royal Show

Gate Fees

Single Day Passes:

Adult - Gate $18.00 / Prepaid $15.00
Concession - Gate $12.00 / Prepaid $10.00
Children - Gate $6.00 / Prepaid $5.00
Family - Gate $40.00 / Prepaid $30.00

Prepaid tickets will be available from the Toowoomba, Crows Nest, Pittsworth, Millmerran and Highfields Branches of the Heritage Building Society, Eagle Boys Pizza outlets in Toowoomba and Wilsonton, Grand Central and the Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland office (Eftpos facilities are available) from February 2009 until 5:00 pm Wednesday, 25 March 2009.

ATM / Eftpos Facilities

A Heritage ATM is located outside the Ag Show Office (the first building on your left on the main drive) for those who are in the need of some extra cash. You can also purchase your show tickets via Eftpos through the northern (main) turnstiles.

St. John’s Ambulance

St. John’s Ambulance is situated in the Grand Central Building on the Village Green. They will be in attendance during the full opening hours of the show to cater to any injury/accident, which occurs. People requiring assistance can go through the main office, police station or directly to their office at Grand Central Station.

Police / Lost people / Lost property

The Police have an office in the main administration building during the show period. This is positioned between the main office and the Glenvale Room.

All lost property, which has been handed in will held at this office.

People Mover

The best way to see it all without the legwork is to jump on the ‘people mover’. Regular pick up points have been selected on the grounds. There is a set route to assist you to reach those areas you wish to see. The regular daily run stops at 6.00 p.m.

Pavilion Times

Pavilions open at 9:00 am each day.

The commercial site area closes at 8:00 pm while the sample bag area remains open till 9:00 pm.

Parking

Parking is plentiful and free, with entries at the northern and southern gates.

Public Transport

Sun Bus will be providing transport for the 2009 Show.

A taxi rank will operate from outside the main gate. Contact numbers for Garden City Cabs is 131 008 and Yellow Cabs is 13 19 24.

Official Opening

The Official Opening will take place on People’s Day, Thursday, 26 March 2009 commencing at 5:00 pm in the Main Arena. Final arrangements will be noted on this website closer to the show.

Night Entertainment

The evening entertainment runs each night starting at approximately 6:00 pm and concluding at approximately 9:00 pm.  The Royal agricultural Society of Queensland will be proudly presenting. Three nights to remember:

Thursday night we present "Family Fireworks Spectacular". The largest fireworks spectacular ever seen in Toowoomba.

Friday night is "Extreme Night" featuring Bulls, Bikes, Monster Trucks and more.

Saturday night the RASQ presents the "Royal Queensland Tattoo". This will be the Society's largest production including a cast in excess of 500 dancers, musicians, and singers.

A full programme of entertainment is being planned to appeal to all age groups and will be available from this website in the New Year.

Daily Entertainment

A wide range of entertainment will be on offer, at Side Show Alley, the Village Green area, Family Stage, Main Arena, Animal Nursery and roving to please anyone attending during the show period.  A full programme will be posted on this website at a later date.

Those businesses wishing to take a catering site must submit a letter of interest, with van/marquee size, goods wishing to be sold, public liability policy and a picture of what your site would look like set up.
